16-year-old Nigerian boy aces WAEC result with 9As in science subjects, scores 83% in university entry examination

 

 

A 16-year-old brilliant Nigerian boy, Uchegbu Obinna John-Paul has scored an outstanding 100% grade after securing 9 distinctions in the recently released West African Examination Council (WAEC) results.

Jonh-Paul who enrolled for the 2022 WAEC examination sat for all the tough subjects including Further Mathematics and scored distinction in every subject of his high school grade. According to his verified result which circulated, he scored an A in Civic Education, English Language, Further Mathematics, and General Mathematics.

Also, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Animal Husbandry and Computer Studies. The young high school graduate proceeded to score 83% in Nigeria’s university entry examination called JAMB.

JAMB – Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) is a universal body that grades Nigerian secondary school students for the purpose of admission into Nigerian universities. The body grades every student out of 400, John-Paul scored 331.

His mentor, Amb Pope Savilo Godwyn, described John-Paul as a very hardworking and brilliant boy. “The results were quite expected considering the times we’ve spent together assiduously working towards achieving those results,” he said.

He revealed that John-Paul reads a lot as he started reading high-level courses including Biology during his junior classes. He is aspiring to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
