Tuesday Prayers for Family
Lord, on this Tuesday I pray for my family. I ask that you would prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. That you would anoint all our heads with your oil and that our cups would overflow with your goodness. Let this be a family who gives you praise and honor in everything they do. In Jesus name, amen. (Psalm 23)
God, I lift up my family to you this Tuesday. The week is still early Lord so I ask that you would bless my family throughout the weekdays. Help them in school and work. Let each one of them have an open heart to Your Spirit and an ear intended to Your voice. Protect them Lord and let them fall more in love with You. In the might name of Jesus, amen.
Tuesday Prayer for Friends
Lord Jesus, I lift up my friend (insert name(s)). I ask that you would bless him/her this Tuesday. Help guide them in the areas they are struggling with and help them to trust in you. Open the eyes of their heart so that they may see what You are doing in their life. Bless them Lord, and keep them. In Jesus’ name, amen.
May God bless you this Tuesday! May you feel His presence throughout the day and experience His wonderful love.
May Tuesday be filled with numerous blessings from above. That the Lord would grant you the grace and peace you need.
This Tuesday may the Lord bless you and your family! May today bring peace into your life and spread joy all around.
May Tuesday be blessed beyond your expectations! May the Lord grant you faith, hope, and love for today.
Happy and Blessed Tuesday! May God shower His blessings upon you and grant you favor wherever you go.
May this Tuesday be a beautiful day, filled with God’s abundant joy for you.
Let this Tuesday be filled with the Lord’s goodness and kindness towards you and your family.
Tears are Prayers too!
We can all agree on this one thing that we have all cried at least once in our life time. This is true for all of us.
For some of us the tears we shed can seem endless and for others they hold back those tears and exit deep within and grow callous.
Some cry for Joy and others cry because they may have lost a loved one or missed a job opportunity.
Tears happen when our emotions are stirred by the kind of circumstances we are in. Sometimes happy and sometimes sad.
If we turn the pages of the Bible, we will find men and women through out Biblical History, who have wept their hearts out from deep sorrow to mounting joy.
Few examples are:
Adam and Eve, when they had to leave the most beautiful place on earth this was the beginning of their sorrows, it kept continuing when their older son, Cain, murdered his younger brother, Able. (“And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground.” – Genesis 4:10 (ESV))
Hannah, when she was childless (“Hannah was so sad that she cried the whole time she was praying to the Lord. She made a special promise to God and said, “Lord All-Powerful, you can see how sad I am. Remember me. Don’t forget me.” – 1 Samuel 1:10-11 (ERV))
Naomi, when she lost her husband and sons. Ruth and Orpah, when these ladies became a widow at a young age. (But Naomi said, “Return home, my daughters. Why would you come with me? Am I going to have any more sons, who could become your husbands? Return home, my daughters; I am too old to have another husband. Even if I thought there was still hope for me–even if I had a husband tonight and then gave birth to sons– would you wait until they grew up? Would you remain unmarried for them? No, my daughters. It is more bitter for me than for you, because the LORD’s hand has gone out against me!” t this they wept again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law good-by, but Ruth clung to her. “Look,” said Naomi, “your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her.” But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me.” When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her. – Ruth 1:11-18 (NIV))
Esther, when she found out she and her people were going to be killed. (Then Esther spoke again to the king. She fell at his feet and wept and pleaded with him to avert the evil plan of Haman the Agagite and the plot that he had devised against the Jews. – Esther 8:3 (ESV))
Elizabeth and Mary, when they found out they were pregnant almost the same time. (And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! – Luke 1:42 ESV)
When Jesus found out Mary and Martha’s Brother, Lazarus passed away, He wept. – (Jesus wept – John 11:35 (ESV))
I have so many of these characters to share, yes, the list just goes on and on about those who have shed plenty of broken tears and how they have to completely rely on God.
Our tears allow us to be truly humble and recognize our need for a savior. In our tears, we confess that we cannot save ourselves.
Just like a child in the presence of its parents, we are crying out in our need. The Lord hears the cry of the poor, and delights in those who are willing to become like little children.
Tears helps us to thaw our frozen hearts and allow us to feel again. They lead us out of our numbness and free us to be vulnerable and dependent.
Tears also aids us in our spiritual struggles. It is true, sadness is hard to bear, but any form of tears and sorrow that is poured in God’s presence are always heard, He will comfort and will lead you into His peace. Keep on trusting and leaning onto His grace and love.
