The Conception of Faith
Abraham’s infertile, elderly wife Sarah didn’t understand how it would happen, but she remained steadfast in her belief that God would fulfill His promise. As a result, she was blessed to defy all odds and give birth to a son named Isaac! No matter your challenges, the conception of faith can bring miracles into your life. It is an inherent part of your existence, but being obedient and fully embracing it is up to you. By hearing His Word and understanding His character, you can build a foundation of faith so solid that you, too, can stand steady in ANY storm!
Go to Hebrews eleven chapter.
He hebrews chapter eleven verse eight through twelve.
I don’t know that I have ever taken ministry any more seriously than I do right now.
My wife and I several weeks ago were out on the water and a couple that we were with leaked in the
ocean. And I didn’t pay any attention to it at first, but they said
the ocean feels like bath water.
And at first, I thought, oh, that’s nice. And then I thought, no.
That’s that’s that’s that’s That’s not good.
Leprosy creeping into the country.
The world is trembling.
Fires breaking out
around the world.
Our own neighborhood is on high alert against fires.
If ever was a time, We needed a sure word from god.
It’s right now.
I take it very seriously.
I see god doing what I projected to you about a month ago regarding our vision for the future, I can see the church drawing closer to god.
Can you feel it in
the service? Can you feel it
in the service? Can you feel it In the service, I
can feel it in the service. I can feel it in the atmosphere.
The reason I want you really close to god is
that the Bible said everything that can be shaken will be shaken.
So that those things that cannot be shaken might remain.
And I wanna move you to a safe place that’s not shaking.
And the safest place I know is in the presence of god.
Can I get a witness?
Hebrews eleven and eight reached like this out of the interview by faith Abraham when he calls to go when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance
obeyed. And went.
Even though he did not know where he was going, stay right there. Stay right there.
Stay right there.
Because when I read that that this I I wanna read that again. Okay.
By Faith Abraham, when he call when called to go to a
place, He would later receive as his inheritance. He would later receive as his inheritance.
He visited what he was going to own.
I wanna draw your attention because God lets you visit what you will later on.
Obeyed. That’s that’s the whole thing right there. Obade.
Obade. How many of you are learning to be obedient? Hallelujah,
obeyed and went. Even though he did not know
Where he was going.
I went to Mexico and several twenty years ago, and and, uh, visited and bought a house in a city in an area where I
couldn’t speak a bit
of Spanish. My sister said, you crazy.
You can’t be afraid
to go somewhere You have never gone to do something you have never done.
By faith he made his home, in the promised land, like a stranger in a foreign country.
He lived in tents. As did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him
of the same promise He didn’t just walk in faith, but
he taught his son and grandson to walk in faith also. He modeled it in front of them.
They inherited his courage, his obedience, his tenacity, his fight, his willingness to go even when he didn’t know where he was going.
That’s somebody’s word right there. You’ve been saying soon as
I see my way clear, I’m gonna go. God said, no.
I want you to go and not know where you’re going.
For he was looking forward to the city, with foundations whose architect and builder is god.
Play real close attention to this.
And my faith, even Sarah, his wife, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because because because because because because because because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.
She got pregnant over her attitude Nothing changed.
Her age didn’t digress. Her cycle didn’t start.
She was a barren woman. She got pregnant because of a thought.
She said, god is faithful who has promised.
Somebody ought to say that just to see what happens.
And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashell I won’t explain good as dead.
But I will tell you I’m going to talk to you probably for the next couple of weeks.
Because the Lord said so much to me, it made me two
or three weeks before I finish. The conception of faith.
The conception
of faith. Go back to that eleventh verse and let me see it again.
Yeah. The eleventh verse.
And by faith, even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise, the conception of faith.
I’m not even so much talking about the conception of the baby.
I’m talking about the conception of faith. She She considered him faithful.
It took her a
while, but she considered him faithful who had promised spirit of the living god over the
next few moments, enable me. Enable me. I understand your anointing is enablement.
If you don’t anoint me, I’m just another guy. But if
you anoint me, I’m a sharp tool and the hands of a master craftsman.
I thank you in advance for what you’re going to do.
Let this message be so profitable to the people that hear it that it is indelibly imprinted in their hearts
and changing their lives. I thank you for what you’re going to do. Have your way
in the name of Jesus we pray, somebody shout amen. Yeah. You may be seated.
You can rest a whole rest of the day.
At least for a while, anyway. Y’all doing good? Everybody good?
The book of Hebrews, the eleventh chapter is considered the hallmark of faith, the hall of fame, the hall of faith, filled with different men and a few women out of different eras who had notable accomplishments by faith.
The the phrase by faith permeates
the eleventh chapter of the
book of Hebrews so that we will have a deep respect for faith.
We are living in a day and time in in the church that we do have a deep respect for praise.
And because we sing songs about praise being a weapon, and sometimes it is,
Sometimes we do not emphasize
faith because faith is not tangible, touchable, does not appeal to the census.
We can’t hear it or see it. We have to believe it.
And yet the book of Hebrews tells us no matter how talented we may be, as orators, as speakers, as singers, as musicians, as technicians, as producers, as whatever we are, no matter how many degrees we have, no matter how many good deeds we do, no matter how many how how ingratiating our personality might be.
The Bible is clear about this that without faith, It is impossible to please god.
And that one verse alone should make us really hone in on the significance of faith Because if we do everything else, and we get everything else right, and we have wonderful services, and we bring cookies over to our neighbors, and we say prayers every night, and and we do good deeds to people.
And and we forgive people, and we fail to believe god. It is impossible to please him.
Conversely, if we don’t do everything right, and we still get the faith right.
Abraham believed god and it was counted unto him as righteousness.
So god gave him credit for being righteous, though he wasn’t.
Because faith is a big deal to god.
So the enemy knows it whether you know it or not, and he does everything he
can to uproot your faith and make you doubt.
And he makes you doubt by talking because faith comes by hearing.
So for all of you who are over thinkers, it’s not just that you’re overthinking, you’ve got many voices talking to you competing for your attention because the voice you believe determines what you birth.
I’m preaching already.
The voice you believe determines
what you birth And I would venture to
say there’s not a person in this room that is not inundated with many voices on a consistent basis.
Go stay, join, quit. You’re not good enough.
You’re too good and you’re not appreciated.
The voices don’t even agree with each other. They’re like rumors. You get so
many rumors on you that the rumors start arguing.
Anybody know what I’m talking about. And in the corner of
all this internal noise add to it, the external noise that
I was just talking about, you have
to get somewhere sometimes and be still to hear what the spirit is saying to the church and what’s hearing it you must be obedient enough to believe it without details.
You gotta go where you don’t know.
You gotta do what you haven’t done.
And we must understand that if we don’t become more adept in the area of faith, Though we are talented in the area of giftings, your gift will get you in the room
But your faith will keep you there.
So we have a lot of people getting in a lot of rooms that
they don’t stay in because they don’t have the mindset to produce the stability that causes them to be able to stay.
And I’m not just talking about rooms like opportunity. I’m also talking about rooms like peace.
Rooms like joy, rooms like contentment.
And so you have momentary moments of ecstasy and then seasons of elongated agony.
And most of our agonies are a result of listening to the wrong voice.
If I teach faith apart from god, I’m teaching Norman Vincent Pills the power of positive thinking, which basically boils down to humanism.
Which is just one step away from witchcraft.
Because if you believe in faith for the sake of faith apart from god, then you believe that you can wield things into being by thought.
That type of manipulation is not what I came to teach about.
Jesus didn’t just say have faith. He said have faith in
in god. So the faith has to be grounded. Are you following what I’m saying?
And our tech series is the first female mentioned.
Years ago, I used to
preach a message called the first lady because she
is the first woman mentioned in the hallmark of faith.
We hear all types of men mentioned before we get to this one woman.
Are you hearing what I’m saying?
We hear faith as a substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.
For by it, the elders obtain a good report. Through faith,
we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of god.
So that things that do appear were not made from things that do appear. Oh, gosh.
What what I’m dealing with didn’t start with what I’m dealing with.
Things that do appear were not made from things that do appear.
It starts in the spirit before it manifests in the flesh.
By faith, the elders obtain a good report.
Through faith, Cain offered up a more able offered up for more excellent sacrifices than Cain through faith.
Faith means he heard something and obeyed
it and walked in what he heard.
And if you walk in what you hear and you’re hearing what god is saying, you will always be acceptable.
But there’s so much noise.
I can’t hear. By faith, he didn’t walk with god and was not, but he left a testimony that he pleased god.
He got so far over in faith he disappeared by faith, enoch walked with god and was not.
And all he left was a testimony. Where is in here? I don’t know, but
his testimony is still in the earth that he pleased god. That’s his legacy. That’s his legacy.
We don’t know where he lived. We don’t know what he wore.
He he didn’t leave his clothes on the floor. He left a testimony that he pleased.
God, by faith, Noah,
being warned of god of things not yet seen move with fear. Look at that.
Now we see faith and fear in the same text.
By faith, noah, be warned of God of things not yet seeing move with fear, to the saving of his house.
Everybody in the house got saved off a somebody’s faith.
Good god almighty.
You know you got faith when everybody in the house, the children and the in laws are saved by the person one person’s faith.
By faith nor being warned of god
of things not yet seen moved with fear to the saving of a house, and he built an ark on dirt before the first drop of rain ever failed because he heard something.
Tell somebody say I heard something. That’s why
I came out to church on Sunday morning because I heard something. That’s why I’m taking the classes.
I’m taking because I heard something. That’s why I’m building the business that I’m building because I heard something.
That’s why I broke up with my old boyfriend because I heard something.
That’s why I married the one that I married because I heard something.
That that’s why I’m fighting the good fight of faith because I heard something.
That’s why I’ve got the courage to withstand whatever you think about me because I heard something. I heard something.
I heard something. I heard something.
And it saved his house I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I’ve had somebody walk up to me crying saying I want my house to be saved.
I’ve had a lot of people walk up to me and say I want a house.
But what good is a house if it’s full of hell?
I’m a little older, but I remember a time that people would be burdened because people were going to hell.
People will be burdened because they were lost. People would be worried about the souls of men.
Not not just the souls
of their feet being red. I remember a time that people would lay on the alter grieving before god saying, you devil, you’re gonna turn my daughter loose.
You’re gonna turn my son to lose.
I tell you what you’re gonna do, you’re gonna get out of my house.
And the family got saved because one person had incredible faith. Talk to me somebody.
Nothing neighbors say, are you the one?
Are you the one that holds the key to
the whole house? Are you the one that’s gonna bring the disruption that causes people to come into divine alignment?
Are you the one that heard something that’s gonna change the outcome and the trajectory of all humanity because you believe god.
Are you the kind of person that has the kind of faith They can withstand controversy, and people calling you stupid and saying you look like a fool.
Can you build a boat in your back yard.
Are you the one that has the kind of bodacious precocious faith that you can’t even take credit for, but god has whispered something in your ear so strong that you have the tenacity and the wheel, and the endurance, and the work ethic, and the effort, and the hammers, and the nail, because he went in the backyard praying He was in the backyard nailed it.
Do you have a hammer in your faith? Do you have any nails in your faith?
Are you willing to work according to what you heard in your spirit rather than what you heard in your boss’s office?
Just asking.
Sarah doesn’t make it to the hallmark of faith because she’s just any woman.
She doesn’t make it to the hallmark of faith because she wants to fit in.
She makes it to the hallmark of faith by faith.
She doesn’t make it because she’s married to Abraham.
Because Abraham ended up with one more wife in a situation.
I’ll explain it later.
And neither neither the other wife or the concubine are mentioned.
But Sarah is mentioned because she judged him faithful
who had promised.
Have you judged him faithful who has promised or is he still on trial?
Have you rendered a verdict and decided that god is faithful?
Not just because you got a car, not just because you got
a house, not just because you’ll be able to pay. Can you say God is faithful at a funeral?
Can you say God is faithful in a cemetery?
Can you say God is faithful in a waiting room at the hospital?
Can you say God is faithful when you got laid off. Can you say it?
God is faithful when you’re back in the corner and there’s a tumor in your breast.
Can you yet say God is faithful? Have you judged him faithful?
Or do you have a hung jury?
And you got a little bit of faith, and you got a little bit of doubt, and you got a little bit of this, have you come to a conclusion?
She has achieved a level of
faith, and there are levels.
She has achieved a level of faith
that fulfilled the purpose of god in her life.
Oh, excuse me, lord, please let me achieve a level of faith that fulfills the purpose you have for me in my life.
I don’t need a level of money. I don’t need a level of friends.
I don’t need a level of lacks. I don’t need a level of followers. I don’t need
a level of birthday cards. I need a level of faith. That fulfills the
purpose of god in my life.
If nobody follows me on Facebook, if nobody befriends me, If nobody wants me on their page, if nobody invites me to speak, if nobody wants to do business with me as long as I accomplish the thing that you created me to do, I will be satisfied.
That’s my prayer.
The conception
of faith Conception is a process.
No matter whether you take
it from a theological perspective or from a natural perspective, Conception is a process.
In the in the natural, you have conception. You have conception in two different dimensions.
As it relates to childbirth, as it relates to ideologies.
As it relates to childbirth as it relates to ideologies,
there is some similarity connectivity, a synonymity between the the brain and the womb.
They both have to conceive.
In order to birth.
They both have to receive seed in order to be fruitful.
If if if if I lose my ability to think, I can’t preach.
I can’t talk. I can’t interview. I can’t negotiate. I can’t serve. I can’t work.
I I gotta be able to think. Even if
my mouth goes out, I
can still write if I can think this this is the battleground.
Because this is for me what the womb is for birth.
The fertilized egg stays in the fallopian tube
for about three to four days.
Three to four days. Just hanging out.
Within twenty four hours of being fertilized, It starts dividing fast into multiple cells, reproducing just levels of faith.
The cells start dividing and multiplying and increasing and forming and shaping and developing and coming forward.
It keeps dividing as it moves
slowly through the
fallopian tube to the uterus. It’s next job
is to attach
to the lining of the uterus.
Are you following what I’m saying?
If I if I so seed out here right now, and you hear it, and it gets in your fallopian tube.
Faith coming by hearing and hearing by
the word of god. And it floats around in your ear for a minute, but it doesn’t attach
to the uterus of the way you think and the way you bump and and your mindset.
It doesn’t become one with you. It doesn’t start drawing from you.
It doesn’t start affecting you, then it falls to the ground.
That’s why we use the word saying word when we say, I never conceived that I’d be president.
I never conceived that I’d be pastor of the church.
I never conceived that I’d be married with five children con conception conception, whether you’re birthing
in your home or not you’re birthing in your mind. Can I go deeper?
You you faith incubates. It’s a process.
Hearing is the fallopian tube, but the process doesn’t stop there.
It has to if the word has to stick.
The Bible says the engrafted word of god is able to save your soul engraved it in engrafted.
It’s the word that sticks
is the word that saves.
That’s why you’ll see people taking copious notes and you’ll see people really listening.
I really don’t like to preach to a church that just shouts.
I like shouting, but I
don’t wanna preach to people who just shout because if you are so busy shouting, you’re not listening.
And and and how can they hear without a preacher?
And how can they preach, say they be sinned And so you’re excited, but it’s just emotionalism, and it has no root.
And when you get in trouble,
I’m I’m a make a plane in a minute.
Let’s look at Romans ten, fourteen through seventeen for just
a minute. And I’m not gonna be long, but just just just follow me.
Are y’all getting anything? Yeah. How then can they call on the one they have not believed in.
Wait a minute. People do that all the time.
They they call on god because they’re in trouble. They call on God because cars slide.
They call in god because they’re
in the emergency room.
They call, but they have not
believed in. And how can they believe in the one to whom they have not heard?
Or how can they hear without someone preaching to them.
And how can anyone preach unless they are sent.
Uh-oh. I don’t even wanna get on that. Uh, god.
I just wanna in in this day where you could go uh, Google up some license.
We we have no metrics in
the church anymore to control who gets to the stage.
If you got charisma and Google, So it’s hard to police,
Somebody who will not submit cannot be mentored.
As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of those?
Who bring good news or preach the gospel with the King James version.
It how beautiful you you’re glad to see them coming.
When they walk in the room, they they haven’t even said anything yet.
When they walk in the room, your spirit leaks because, you know, they’re carrying something They’re they’re they’re they’re
the walk. There’s a walk. Glory to God. They’re the walk. He’s not just a talk.
The there’s a walk when you when you’re carrying something from god you walk in the road, like, I’m on a mission.
I didn’t come here to play. I didn’t come here to play. I didn’t come here to play.
I’m on a mission, but not all. The Israelites accepted the good news.
For Israel said, Isaiah says, Lord, who have believed our message?
Consequently faith comes from hearing the message,
and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Are you hearing what I’m saying to you?
The word that sticks the word that sticks. The word that sticks.
I’m still
I’m still living off of steady in the storm.
Every time a storm comes in with my life, my mind says be steady in the storm.
Keep your hand on the wheel. Don’t let the wind rock you. Don’t let your emotions break you.
Don’t let
the situation shake you. Be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding
in the work of the lord.
I preached that like four or five months ago, and I’m still chewing off of that word right there.
You know, why storm are still coming. And as long as storms are still coming, I’m gonna be
steady. In the storm.
You can’t be faithful if you’re not steady in the storm.
If you’re tossed to and fro by every wind, you can’t be steadfast.
You you gotta you gotta prove that I’m gonna stand flat footed right here. Come hell of high water.
I’m gonna step right here. This is
where I stand. I can’t control where you stand.
I can’t control where you stand. I can’t help where you stand. I can’t change how you stand.
But as for me and my house, this is
where I stand. I’m gonna stand flat footed on the word of god. Are you hearing what I’m saying?
Let me give you the references so you can take it home James one twenty through twenty one so you can add it to your repertoire about the importance of the word ticking for the wrath of men work of not the righteousness of god.
The wrath wait. I gotta stop there. The wrath of men work if not the righteousness of god.
You can forget working righteousness with temper. I’m teaching word.
I’m sowing sea.
Some’s gonna fall on different ground, but I’m sowing sea.
The wrath of man work, if not, the righteousness of god. Watch this.
Have you ever seen our country as angry as it is right now?
I stopped scrolling down through comments on Instagram because you could say good morning.
Who told you
it was morning? It’s not morning in our part of the world. That’s what I case saying about you, Americans.
You think you control everything. I mean, anything turns into a fight because everybody, but I can’t figure out what they’re mad about.
But they’re all angry about something. And then they start arguing amongst themselves.
And the argument gets off the post that was ever made in the first place, And the next thing we’re we’re back to the Byzantine Empire fighting about something.
And all I asked you was, have you had your coffee yet? And they’re fighting about all kinds of
stuff because they are just angry. And the problem with anger is
that the wrath of men work, if not the righteousness of God, you will never fix that marriage, being angry.
You will never help that child being angry. You will never solve that problem being angry.
You will never succeed in your company going to work angry. Nobody wants to work with somebody with attitude.
Nobody wants to sign a contract with somebody who’s got attitude.
Nobody wants to come home to a angry man. Nobody wants to come home to an angry woman.
You things will never get better. I’m just mad. I’m just gonna be mad. But I’m praying about it.
Stop praying about it because the wrath of men work if not the righteousness of god.
So you gotta do something with your wrath.
You gotta reel it back because your wrath is stopping your prayers from being a let me get off it.
I’m sorry. Therefore, lay apart all filthiness and the super fluidity of wickedness.
You you will have
to clean it up baby girl. You’re gonna have to clean it up, brother.
You’re gonna have to clean it up.
You can’t just slip in here and be in here in a crowd like this and be an imposter, a secret agent.
Hiding out over the corner. You you you gotta lay apart.
Your faith has to come with a level of conviction.
Lay apart all filthiness
and super fluidity of wickedness.
Wickedness
wickedness and receive you.
See, if you have faithfulness, and wickedness and anger, it will abort the word.
You heard it.
Is floating around in your ear, but it never stuck because all of these agents of abortion are stopping you from conceiving what is possible to be done in your life.
For the enemy comes not, but to steal, kill, and destroy.
So every day that he takes, is the day you’ll never get back.
I’m just mad right now.
I’m just mad right now. I’m just I’m just hurt right now. I’m just hurt right now.
I’m just upset right now. No. No. You just got robbed right now.
I’m not saying you’re going
to hell. I’m not condemning anybody. I’m just saying that day you will not get back.
How many days have you lost?
When when you’re laying on your deathbed, how many of those days, will you wish you had to get and I don’t care who did what to you are they worth
what it would cost you. Maybe that doesn’t mean anything to you.
I’m a pastor.
I’m always about deathbeds. I’ve seen many people give
up the ghost. And let me tell you some seconds matter.
Yeah. Second matter. Suckins matter. Take take take it’s seconds matter.
And and and that you can’t buy it?
Rich folks, you can’t buy it, intellectual folks, if the PhD won’t help it.
All you beautiful, fine people? You so gorgeous, gorgeous people die.
Beautiful people that honk honks die.
Black folks die. White folks die.
Brown folks die. It’s the one equalizer
that nobody gets to be superior over anybody else.
The the there’s not a rich way to die and a poor way to die.
We just die. And every day you lost, making excuses given the enemy permission to rob your house.
You might as well leave your front door open. And drive to Chicago.
See, most of us believe God when things go good.
Oh, won’t he do it?
Woney do it. Woney oh. Woney do it.
Woney do it. Boney will.
To all of my white members, I know y’all don’t understand what won’ty will means.
I scarcely understand it myself, but
let me try to interpret it. Won’t he will? It’s kinda like, won’t he do it?
But we don’t put he in it.
Uh, we don’t put do it. Never mind. NC Bonix. Don’t even worry about it.
Don’t even worry about it. Wanting with wanting won’t he will.
What about when he won’t?
What about when he don’t?
What about when what you will doesn’t line up with what he wills?
Is he still god then? Can you have faith when you don’t get the expected outcome that you want, or is your god really a butler and a maid that you have in your life as long as it serves your purpose.
Because if that’s the case, you’re not working for god. You think God works for you.
Until we get this stuff untangled, we’re not gonna really have the kind of faith that breaks out revival in America because we are using faith like witchcraft.
God is good when things are good, but when things are bad, then we we we don’t have a theology that embraces the cross.
The cross is a big clue that everything doesn’t go right.
That the will of god can land you in trouble.
Come on, talk to me, somebody. It’s a clear sign. You’re not walking around with a
necklace around your neck of an empty tomb. They don’t sell necklaces of empty tombs.
They sell necklaces with crosses on it. Think it not strange that these fiery trials have come against you.
If they came against your master, They will come against you. This is the trying of your faith.
Nobody wants to teach about the trying of your faith. There’s a your faith must stand trial.
So your faith cannot be conditional.
Can I
go a little deeper?
Faith flourishes from embracing the irrefutable character of god. The character of god.
Not not not the doings of god. The character of god. I know his character.
One of my favorite scripture, Sarah, is, is unto Israel.
He showed his acts, but unto Moses, he showed his ways.
It’s one thing for people to talk about what
you did, and it’s another thing for somebody to know who you are.
Does your faith embrace god for who
he is? Or do you just love it because of what he did? Because if
you only love it because of what he did, what happens when he stops doing it?
What happens when
you enter into another season? What happens when grandma dies? What happens when you have a mastectomy?
What happens to your faith when life gets tough?
If your faith embraces who god is rather than what god does, you’re immovable.
You’re unshakable. Until you love him for who he is rather than praise him for what he did, You will never please him because your unbelief suggests that god is a liar.
Now, this is not revelation.
If you tell me
something right now and I say I don’t believe you, That’s an insult to your character.
I don’t believe you. I wasn’t there. I don’t believe you.
That means I don’t trust your
ways enough to believe your word.
No wonder Abraham became the friend of god because he believed it.
God said, if you believe me, even though
you ain’t righteous, and even though
you lied about your wife. And even though you put her in a precarious situation, And even though you made some mistakes along the way, I I’ll look over all of that.
If you believe me, your faith is anchored into my character and not my activities.
And if you can love me for who I am, I can love you for who
you are. But come on somebody. I’m I’m shouting by myself here. I’m shouting by myself.
I’m almost done, but I feel something creeping up my spine. Right now.
I feel something creeping up my spine right now.
And the thing about faith, if it’s impossible to please god without it, then he only gave it to some people, it wouldn’t be fair.
Because then we would have the haves and the have nots. I have it. You don’t have it.
I got it. You don’t have it.
So forth and so on, but the truth of the matter is according to Romans twelve and three, god have dealt to every man, the measure of faith.
Everybody’s got some faith. You might not use it. You might not accelerate it.
You might not go up the ladder with it, but everybody has some faith.
Even the atheist who says he doesn’t have any faith at all has some level of faith.
He may deny it. He may betray it. He may turn from it.
Something may hurt him, but god have dealt to every man enough faith that you don’t have to perish.
You have to choose to go to hell. God would never send anybody to hell.
I’m a move on.
I feel something about to break loose in this place. I feel something about to break loose in this place.
Let me see.
Let me see. Let me see. Let me see. Something’s about to happen in this place.
What I’m doing right now is sowing seeds. I’m sowing seeds. I’m sowing seeds.
I’m sowing seeds out in this room. I’m sowing word out into this room. I’m throwing word into this room.
And if your ear catches it, your life is going
to be changed forever. If your ear will ingest it, and digest it, and it sticks to you.
And you say, Lord, I don’t care nothing about being a bad place.
I don’t care nothing about being a methodist. I don’t care nothing about being
a cogent. I don’t care
nothing about being apostolic. I just wanna be a believer. Let me be
a believer.
When all hell is breaking loose, let me be a believer. When things get hurt, let me be a believer.
When I’m going through storm. Let me be
a believer. When I backed up against the wall, let me be a believer. When you give me
a blessing that I think is too big for me, Let me be a believer. When I’m scared
to walk into something that I don’t know what I’m walking into. Just let me be a believer.
I don’t have to be a billionaire. Let me be a believer.
If I’m a believer, I can get
a billion dollar. Let me be a believer. Is there anybody in this room? That wants to be a believer.
I just wanna be a believer.
I wanna walk with God and talk with God and hang with God.
And understand god and open my heart to god. You can have his acts. I wanna understand his way.
Oh, oh, that I may know him.
Paul, who speaks five different languages.
It’s from the tribe of Benjamin.
Is Zelle is concerning the law said I counted all of my attributes as dumb.
It don’t mean nothing. I flushed it.
That I might gain the excellency of the knowledge of Christ, and he falls down on his knees before god I said, oh, that I may know him.
Not just in the good times, in the fellowship, of his suffering and the power
of his resurrection. I wanna know him.
I don’t care how the weather changes. I don’t care how the climate changes.
I don’t care how the culture changes. I don’t care how the situation changes. He’s my anchor. He’s my rock.
He’s my shelter. He’s my fortress.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.
If I know him, I don’t have to know you. If I know him, you can’t shake me.
You can’t break me. You can’t spot me. You can’t stop me.
If I know him, God will always find a way to get it done. If I know him.
Is there anybody left in the church that’s hungry to know God.
I haven’t shake my pastor’s hand. What difference does it make if this shake my hand?
If you shake my hand, all you’re gonna do is sweat.
But if you know him, Hallelujah.
It’s know him? The Bible said seek the lord while he may be call you upon him while he’s yet near.
Let the wicked forsake his way. And the unrighteous man has stop.
The Lord is in his holy temple.
The Lord is
in his holy temple. Let
all the act.
Let all the act.
Keep salads.
Before him.
I am hungry for you.
I cannot be a better person until I’m hungry for you.
I’m tired of being a different person. I’ve been ten different people. I don’t wanna be different.
I wanna be better.
I’m tired of thinking that hooking up with you is gonna make me better.
Because all you did was get on my nerves.
But if I
can hook up with him.
If I can hook up with him, if something that he said sticks in my soul.
Soul, in my soul.
The Greek where where we get psyche, where we get psychology, where we get mine, if he gets in my head.
I want you in my head because I need to be, not act like, but to be a better person.
Make me better
When I started my ministry years ago in the
storefront church, I never imagined in all my life. I didn’t even know to think nothing like this.
I never prayed god make me bigger.
I only prayed god.
Make me better.
Is there anybody in here that wants God to make you
Better. I’m tired of trying to
accomplish the righteousness of god through the wrath of my ancestors.
I’m talking about generational curses. Your mama was angry. Your grandmother was angry.
Your great grandmother was angry. All of them were furious, and now you got your mama’s I don’t need my mama’s temper.
I need my god’s character. I need my god’s character.
And I am praying this morning that that one seed out of what I just shared would get in your fallopian tube.
And stay there till it engrafts in your heart.
I am praying that you didn’t come to church
because it was Sunday, or because a cute girl goes to this church, or because you wanna do business in
this church, or because you wanna meet somebody in this church, I am praying that you want an encounter with god.
An encounter with god. And encounter with god will make my weak stabilize.
It’ll strengthen me in the toward.
It’ll fortify my moods, my attitudes, my dysfunctions, and all of the voices that are trying to convince me that they are god are nothing but idols.
And every time I obey them, I am idolatrous.
The voice that tells me to worry.
The voice that tells me I’m not good enough. The
voice that tells me I can’t handle what god has given me The voice that tells me I’m stupid to go to a place that I don’t know to do something I’ve never done before.
If I obey that voice, I am an idolator. Obedience is better than sacrifice.
Whatever you obeyed as your god.
I will not go to a church like this.
And go home and worship another god.
Not the god of fear, not the god of doubt, not the god of agony, not the god of envy, not the god of jealousy, not the god of pain, not the god of bitterness, I will not worship another god.
If I had to wait on him.
If I had to lay on him.
If I had to call on him, if I had to weep before him.
Oh, that I made w.
Paul said, I’ll trade everything
I got to know him.
I wanna know him,
not just when things are up I don’t just wanna know
the power of your resurrection. I wanna be in fellowship and your suffering. I wanna know you.
In good days and bad days. I wanna know you. When my
whole family is tripping, I
wanna be the one that knows you. When everybody on the office is is gossiping.
I wanna be the one person who won’t sit around the water fountain and gossip about people that I am called to is true.
I want to know you make me better because if you make me better, my children will be better.
If you make me better, my grandchildren will be better. If you make me better, my family will be safe.
If you make me better, make me better, lord. Make me better. Make me better.
Let me be an asset and not a liability. Let people be glad to see me coming in the room.
God, please make me better. I came from nothing, but make me better. I’ve been through hell.
But make me better. I’ve been dysfunctional, but make me better. I’ve been bitter, but make me better.
I don’t wanna go to
a great church and live a raggedy life. I don’t wanna dance all over the
church and shout, and then not trust the god I was dancing about. I don’t wanna
