August 13, 2023!
Day 225 of 365
God is saying to you today,
“Embrace the quiet moments of
reflection and prayer, for in those
moments, you will hear My
whispers of guidance. I have
placed a purpose within you that is
uniquely yours. Trust in My plan,
even when it diverges from your
expectations. My ways are higher,
and I am orchestrating a beautiful
tapestry of your life.’
God is saying to you today,
“Do not underestimate the
power of your words and
actions. You have the ability to
impact lives, to spread love, and
to shine light in the darkest of
places. Walk in love and
kindness, for in doing so, you
reflect My character to a world
in need of compassion.
Hearing The Voice Of God | A Blessed Morning Prayer To Start Your Day
Let me tell you something.
Volices are powerful.
A strong and powerful voice will make you sit up and pay attention.
A voice that is filled with emotion will move you and stir up your own emotions.
The voice of a great narrator or a really good storyteller.
It’ll keep you engaged, and perhaps take you on a journey in your mind.
And the voice of a minister who is truly filled with the Holy Spirit will so move you and almost burn in your ears as they highlight your need for salvation.
But I believe that there’s one voice. One voice that stands above every other voice.
And that is the voice of the lord.
Oh, how I wish I could have been there hundreds of years ago.
When Jesus arrived in a small town named Bethany, and he stood outside the tomb and spoke the words.
Lazarus, come out. Imagine hearing the voice of the lord on that day.
A voice filled with authority and power So much power in fact that death couldn’t hold on to Lazarus any longer.
The grave had to listen when Jesus spoke. And it let lazarus go.
For just a moment, imagine what it must have been like to be on a boat with a disciple.
When this fierce storm comes up, high waves start to break into the boat and it’s beginning to fill with water.
And then all of this panic and commotion.
Someone wakes up Jesus and we hear his voice saying peace.
Peace do. And immediately, the wind dies down.
And there is a great calmness over to the sea.
Oh, I can only wish that I had been there to hear the voice of the master speak.
The disciples were privileged to have been able to witness real divine power at work.
The Bible in John ten twenty seven says: My sheep hear my voice.
And I know them, and they follow me.
Jesus Christ is referred to as the good shepherd in Psalm twenty three.
And here in John ten, verse twenty seven, he says that his sheep hear his voice.
For the lord to say that, It obviously means that he’s speaking.
That same voice that spoke to lazarus, It’s still speaking.
That same voice that told a storm to be still is still speaking to us.
Now, you may be saying, well, I don’t hear the audible voice of God, and it’s true.
Many of us won’t hear the audible voice of God. Not in the same sense as I am speaking.
However, through the power of the Holy Spirit, God can speak to you through his word.
Remember what the Bible says in John one verse one. And the beginning was the word.
And the word was with god, and the word was god.
You see God is his word.
And the Bible tells us in Hebrews chapter four that the word of god is alive and active.
Why? Because God is his word.
Therefore, when Jesus said my sheep hear my voice, And I know them and they follow me.
He is in a sense telling us today that his sheep His people are doers of the word and not just heers.
So, dear friend, pray before you read God’s word.
And ask the Holy Spirit to open your spiritual ears and eyes. So that you can hear from God.
The Lord is speaking. His voice still has power.
We simply need to open his word and listen.
And so with all this in mind, Let us go before the throne of God, and let us ask him to allow his Holy Spirit.
To reveal his voice to us.
Let us ask him to give us the urgency to read his word.
So that we can know his voice, and then obey. Dear Lord Jesus. Master.
We desire to hear your voice. Speak a word into our hearts today.
And father, each time we open up your word, I pray that we would hear your voice concerning your will for our lives.
Lord, somebody’s listening right now, and they need to hear from you. They need guidance from you.
And so lord, I pray that you would lead them to open your word and hear from you.
In your word master. You’ve said that my sheep hear my voice, and I know them.
And they follow me As your sheep, we wanna know your voice more intimately.
We wanna hear your voice concerning our families, our children, our lives.
Only your voice master can bring restoration into our homes.
Your voice can resurrect and revive us.
And so as we stand on your word, we pray, and we say speak lord.
Speak to us through your word. Correct us through your word.
Teach us through your word master. Your word in Hebrews four verse twelve says.
For the word of god is living inactive and full of power. Making it operative, energizing, and effective.
It is sharper than any two edged sword.
Penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit. The completeness of a person.
And of both joints and marrow, the deepest parts of our nature, exposing and judging the very thoughts, and intentions of the heart.
Father may your word expose every sin that is hidden in our lives.
And may the Holy Spirit convict us to repent?
Help us to ignore the voices of this world that call us to sin.
Help us to be deaf to every false prophet who speaks, but lacks the spirit of god behind him.
Father, block our ears from listening to any gospel that does not convict our hearts of sin, and highlight the need to repent and accept Jesus Christ as our lord and savior.
Father god help us to listen with discerning ears so that we can hear the voices of spirit filled men and women of god.
Will challenge us to live according to your word. Second Timothy three, versus sixteen through seventeen says.
All scripture is inspired by god and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.
It corrects us when we are wrong. And teaches us to do what is right.
God uses it to prepare and equip his people. To do every good work.
Speak to us every time we open your word dear god. We wanna hear your voice.
A voice that is distinctive, a voice that leads us to repent, and forsakes sin.
Father, be glorified, and be praised.
Father, I thank you for hearing this prayer. It’s in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Dear Lord Jesus. We desire to hear your voice master.
Speak a word into our hearts today.
Father, each time that we open up your word, I pray that we would hear your voice concerning your will for our lives.
Someone’s listening right now, Laura. And they need to hear from you. They need guidance from you.
I pray that you would lead them to open your word and hear from you.
In your word master, or you have said that my sheep hear my voice, and I know them.
And they follow me. As your sheep, we want to know your voice more intimately.
We wanna hear your voice concerning our families, our children, and our lives.
Only your voice master can bring restoration into our homes. Your voice can resurrect and revive us.
And so as we stand on your word, we pray and say speak law.
Speak to us through your word. Correct us through your word. Teach us through your word master.
Your word in Hebrews, four in twelve says.
