Brilliant Nigerian Lady goes back to school to study Medicine after earning a degree in Physiology, graduates with 10 distinctions

A brilliant Nigerian lady named Ellie Okoka has returned to school to bag a Medicine degree with a remarkable 10 out of 12 distinctions after she had earlier earned a Physiology degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Ellie Okoka bagged her first degree in Physiology in 2014 at the University of Lagos, Nigeria with an honors grade. She was awarded the best-graduating student of the 2013/2014 Physiology class.

Ellie then proceeded to earn a master of science degree in Cell Physiology at the same University of Lagos. After obtaining her master’s degree in Cell Physiology from the University of Lagos, she still continued to pursue higher academic achievements to meet the standards of academia.

She bagged a diploma in Leadership and Management in Health with a distinction at the University of Washington, United States.

Furthering on, Ellie bagged a second bachelor of Science degree in Medicine and Surgery at the Lagos State University, Nigeria. She graduated with a remarkable 10 distinctions out of the 13 courses she did.

She shared her achievement of becoming a newly inducted Medical Doctor on her Twitter. ” I’m very grateful to God. Dr Okoka, E.M 10/13 distinctions,” she said.

Ellie said she has an interest in and passion for health, Internal medicine, paediatrics, Hematology and Oncology, clinical research, academics, and human rights.
