Young African lawyer wins $80,000 scholarships to 3 UK universities, set to bag masters of Law at University of Cambridge
A young African lawyer named Olga Okewulonu is set to pursue a Master’s degree in Law at the University of Cambridge after she was awarded 80,000 dollars in scholarships to three Universities in the United Kingdom.
Olga Okewulonu won the Professor Sir David Williams Scholarship from Wolfson College to study for her master’s in Corporate Law in the United Kingdom. She bagged her bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) with a first-class at the Afe Babalola University, Nigeria.
After she graduated from Afe Babalola University, Olga proceeded to Nigerian Law School where she graduated with first-class honors and was inducted as a barrister and solicitor of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
She shared her achievement of winning the scholarship on her LinkedIn stating that she is excited to have finally made it to University of Cambridge to continue her postgraduate studies for nine months.
Olga will be studying at the University of Cambridge as a Master of Corporate Law (MCL) student and a member of Wolfson College.
She mentioned that she was admitted into the prestigious masters of Law programs at the University of Pennsylvania, Cambridge, and New York University, with a total of $80,000 dollars worth of scholarships.
She stated that she believes that the Masters of Corporate Law is most suited to her short medium term goal, which is to delve into the insights of corporate law and commercial deals.
