Zurich Financial Services Group has announced that the change of name from Zurich Financial Services Ltd to Zurich Insurance Group Ltd “has taken effect as long as its name is on the commercial register of the canton of Zurich.”
Previously, shareholders approved the name change at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on March 29, 2012.
The newsletter notes that “over the years Zurich has streamlined its business portfolio to focus on insurance. In recognition of this strategic focus, the reference to financial services in the company name has been replaced by indicating the Group’s insurance activity and identifying the purpose accordingly. “
